Opening Reception: Friday, August 1, 2025 | 3:00–7:00 PM
This August, the Gallery of Modern Masters invites you to step back in time and rediscover the brilliance of the artists who shaped our journey. Join us on First Friday, August 1st, for the opening of “Returning to Our Roots,” a vibrant exhibition honoring the timeless works of the great modern masters.
When the Gallery of Modern Masters first opened over twenty years ago, it was dedicated to the extraordinary legacy of visionaries whose daring creativity forever reshaped the way we see the world. For the entire month of August, we bring that spirit full circle, transforming the gallery into a museum-like experience where every extraordinary piece is also available for acquisition.
This special exhibition features:
Karel Appel – Playful and powerful works from his iconic Cats Series and colorful circus-inspired lithographs.
Marc Chagall – Bright, lyrical pieces alive with his unmistakable dreamlike imagery.
Salvador Dalí – Surrealist treasures that ignite the imagination and reflect our shared history..
Plus works by celebrated masters including Yaacov Agam, Théo Tobiasse, Joan Miró, Paul Jenkins, and more—each a testament to innovation, freedom, and the fearless spirit of modernism.
“Returning to Our Roots” is more than an exhibition—it’s a journey through the vibrant tapestry of modern art history. From the bold abstractions of Appel to the poetic visions of Chagall, the surreal worlds of Dalí, and the soulful narratives of Tobiasse, this show celebrates the enduring creativity that continues to inspire generations.
