The city installed their sculpture in November 2024; it features the native bird, in a naturalistic setting with Sedona’s dramatic landscape for its backdrop. The piece stands 15-feet tall by 7-feet wide by 9-feet deep and is made of steel, galvanized sheet metal and glass. When drivers make their way around the piece, the sculpture acts like a zoetrope giving the impression of continuous motion.

Kennell and Adler’s company, DKLA Design, is based in Santa Fe where Kennell creates the design drawings and leads the fabrication crew and Adler focuses on community engagement. Their impressive, larger than life sculptures include horses, birds, dogs and interactive pieces.
