🎉 So what’s Oktoberfest all about?
Think of it as the Super Bowl of beer, except instead of football, there’s pretzels, lederhosen, and a whole lot of prost. 🍺🥨🎶
Here’s the gist:
• It started back in 1810 as a royal wedding party in Munich, and the Bavarians said, “Yep, we’re keeping this going forever.” 👑
• They pour up a special malty lager that comes in mugs the size of your head. 💪🍺
• The food lineup? German
• And of course, it’s all soundtracked by lively bands and folks dressed in snazzy lederhosen and dirndls. 🕺💃
🗓️ Fun fact: Despite the name, Oktoberfest actually starts in late September and runs for just over two weeks, this year it’s September 20th through October 5th.
