July 21 - 24 (Monday–Thursday)⏰ Meets 4 mornings, 3 hours per day (9am-12pm)Welding is where fire meets creativity! In this hands-on Intro to Welding camp, teens will learn the fundamentals of MIG welding and metal fabrication while creating their own unique welded project to take home.Under expert guidance in a safe, supervised environment, students will learn essential shop skills, safety protocols, and how to handle welding equipment confidently. Whether building functional objects or exploring metal art, this class introduces the core techniques of welding, cutting, grinding, and finishing.What Teens Will Learn &amp; Do:✅ Welding Basics – Learn the process of MIG welding and its applications.✅ Tool Mastery – Use angle grinders, clamps, and other essential metal shop tools.✅ Safety First – Understand best practices for welding safely and effectively.✅ Hands-On Projects – Design and build a functional or artistic metal project.✅ Take-Home Creation – Walk away with a small completed welded piece!This camp is perfect for curious, hands-on learners interested in metalworking, fabrication, or industrial arts. Welding builds problem-solving skills, confidence, and creativity—perfect for future artists, engineers, and makers.? No experience needed! All materials and protective gear provided.Spaces are limited—sign up today and spark your creativity with welding!**Parents need to sign minor participation waivor befroe class begins**WHAT TO BRING:If you have it, bring your own PPE: welding glove, welding helmet, work gloves, safety glasses, and ear muffs/hearing protection. We do have enough for everyone to borrow, but we understand if you prefer your own.Water (closed-top bottle)Snacks &amp; Lunch (although there are close by spots to grab food)Outdoor-appropriate clothing (our class is held outdoors, rain or shine)Clothing should be natural fibers: long sleeves, jeans and closed-toe shoes-- cottons denims, natural leather, preferably. (Synthetic fabrics like blends/polyester/rayon/nylon are plastics and will melt.) Dress in layers!Cancellation Policy: Attendees must register for classes or request cancellations/refunds 7 days in advance. (Some classes may require more time.)
