It was great to see so many of us at Sing For Your Life last week - thanks to all who were able to make the trek! Let's keep the momentum going into 2026 - yes, it's almost time to circle up again, for our next Circlesong Sebastpol gathering. 

As always, we'll be guided by David Worm in this 2-part offering to deepen in the art of making improvised music with the support of community.

David will be celebrating his birthday with us that day - let's all show him some extra New Year love with our joyful voices!

We'll gather in the Fireside Room at SebArts (Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 South High Street), warming the damp and chill, composing beautiful music on the spot. Join in, and see what we can do!

?? For this session ??
We'll spend our morning digging into how bass and rhythm can transform your melodies into songs. Learn how simple shifts in the tone or the beat can take us to new places in the music. Do tune in! 

There will be lots of singing together, interspersed with individualized "workshopping" with David, as the moment calls.

?? Open to any experience/comfort level with singing 
and/or improvised singing ??

We meet every other month, on Second Saturdays.

May 9, July 11, September 12, back outdoors at Ives Park!

All are welcome to attend one or both sessions.

Requested Contribution:
$20-30 either morning or afternoon, 
or 
$40-$50 for both sessions 
(cash or venmo/paypal)
No one turned away for financial reasons!

We'll have a half-hour break partway through - good for snacking, lunch, walking, talking, fresh air, etc.

Practice and play with Collaborative Improvised Singing, in all different arrangements and games. Guided by local facilitators.

Every Tuesday from 5:30-7pm
at Gaiawise: 179 Dutton Ave, Sebastopol
(indoors in the winter months, outdoors in nice weather)

What is CircleSinging?
A joyous, spontaneous chorus guided in improvised songs. The mostly-wordless, flexible sound format has allowed CircleSinging to become a worldwide art form, practiced in little pockets throughout countries and cultures. The music is accessible, uniting and intuitive, so no prior experience is necessary to participate or to enjoy, as it unfolds very simply.

Who is David Worm?
Since 1987, David Worm has been touring the world and sharing the magic of improv Circlesinging with Bobby McFerrin as a founding member of vocal bands Voicestra, WeBe3, SoVoSo, Gimme 5, and Motion. Voices in a New World is his latest project. He teaches CircleSinging facilitation in Oakland and Beyond.
