Cole Swensen is the author of more than twenty books of poetry, including Gravesend, Ours, Landscapes on a Train, and And And And. She has also published a collection of hybrid essays, Art in Time, and a volume of criticism, Noise That Stays Noise. A Guggenheim Fellow, Swensen is the recipient of the Paul Engle Prize, the Iowa Poetry Prize, and the San Francisco State Poetry Center Book Award. Her work as a translator from the French has been widely recognized, earning the PEN USA Award in Translation, the ALTA National Translation Award, and the Stephen Mitchell Prize.

Kit Robinson is the author of numerous books of poetry spanning several decades, including The Messianic Trees, Train I Ride, The Crave, and Thought Balloon. A long-standing figure in the Bay Area poetry community, his work has appeared in a wide range of journals and anthologies, and he has been associated with the Language writing movement while maintaining a distinct and evolving body of work. Robinson has been recognized for his sustained contributions to contemporary American poetry and his active role in literary communities.
