RAVI CHARY is a sitarist from Goa. A Grammy® nominee, Chary's fresh approach to sitar integrates 3 historical traditions into a captivating style. His father, Pandit Prabhakar Chary, a musicologist and tablaist, commenced his music training. Afterwards, he studied sitar with Professor Abdul Karim Khan (from the Dharwad tradition of Ustad Rahimat Khan) and Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan (from the Indore tradition of Ustad Jaffer Khan). He now studies with Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan (from the Etawah tradition of Ustad Imdad Khan). Despite being steeped in storied Hindustani Classical traditions, Chary has explored sitar across countless genres and experimental forms. His classical fusion projects, "Ravi Chary Crossing" and "Sitar Symphony" have been hits and toured across India.

AMIT KAVTHEKAR is a tablaist from Boston and Mumbai. He was accepted as a disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha Khan, the "Godfather of Rhythm" and father and guru of Ustad Zakir Hussain, at age 6 due to his prodigious talent. At age 11, Kavthekar was anointed as a "ganda-bandh" disciple of Khan. Consequently, he has also learned extensively from Ustad Zakir Hussain parallel to his discipleship with Khan. Kavthekar has performed with countless maestros of Indian Classical music, including Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Ustad Ashish Khan, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Pandit Jasraj, etc. He moved to Boston to head the New England School of Music and has taught tabla to dozens of students over the past decade. Kavthekar is also celebrated for his brilliance across music genres, having performed with leading jazz, fusion, symphonic, and experimental musicians. Notably, he has performed across the world with guitar legend Al Di Meola, playing on his latest albums.
