Mount Vernon High School Mariachi & Folklorico is proud to be the largest Mariachi program on the west side of Washington State, with over 100 students currently enrolled. Their mission is to
preserve and celebrate Mexican traditions of music and dance, ensuring that these cultural treasures live on through our youth.

At MV Mariachi, they believe that Mariachi music will continue to thrive in our community through the passion and talent of our students. Their program has had the honor of being featured on KING 5 News, Telemundo, Univision, FOX News Seattle 13 and has shared the stage with world-renowned groups such as Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Mariachi Reyna de Los Ángeles, and Mariachi Los Camperos. Additionally, their students have had the privilege of performing for Governor of Washington State and Comedian George Lopez.

Under the leadership of Mr. Ramon Rivera, who was recognized as the 2023 Washington State Music Teacher of the Year, their program continues to inspire, empower, and uplift the next generation of musicians and dancers.
