In class, we’ll cover a couple of different butane torch options, basic equipment for fire use and solutions for cleaning metals. Students will work with sterling silver, fine silver, and copper as well as explore related skills, including flame control, metal gauging, annealing, work hardening, flattening, texturing, and shaping wire.This prerequisite class is a great way to begin working with fire and the many possibilities it offers. Students will leave class with earrings and pendants in the metal of their choice.There is a supply kit fee made payable to the teacher day of class by cash or check.
