Seattle Public Utilities Green Business Program: Seattle University Tour

Join the 2030 District and Seattle Public Utilities for a walking tour of Seattle University! At this event property managers, building owners, and sustainability professionals can learn about Seattle University's sustainability measures and how the Green Business Program can support implementation at their own buildings.

The Green Business Program offers free tools, training, and support to help local businesses reduce waste through improved recycling and composting, conserve water, and stay in compliance with environmental regulations. The program helps businesses cut costs, enhance sustainability, and earn recognition via the EnviroStars program.

• Dining Hall - explore how Seattle University is addressing food waste, recycling, and solid waste management
• Rain Gardens - learn how Seattle University is reducing irrigation water consumption and treating stormwater through biomimicry and green stormwater infrastructure
• Sinegal Center for Science and Innovation - dive into the next generation of Seattle University buildings and learn about water conservation methods like low-flow toilets and water aerators

Speakers will include representatives from Seattle University's sustainability and facilities team along with Green Business Program administrators!
