Here in the north we end and begin the year in days steeped with darkness. These months are not a scrouge to be endured until summer returns, but a rich opportunity for exploration. The dark is a scrying bowl, a treasure chest of potential, a palace of mysteries. The dark asks you to be, feel, and know that which is previously unknown and may never be understood in the bright sun. Similarly, dance asks one to venture into a fertile void with little clue as to what might arise. The reward of braving the dark is abundant, miraculous beauty. Thank you, darkness, for being the prelude to all fantastic revelations. Here is some dreamy, haunting, and sensual music celebrating the long night, domain of dreams, lyrical mysteries, and the light that's always around the bend.

Ecstatic Clowning w/ Ren
Fusing ecstatic dance and physical theater, this workshop invites you to channel your wildest creative impulses into expressive, hilarious, and delightfully strange storytelling. Through movement-based improvisation, clown-inspired exploration, and ensemble play, we’ll tap into the body’s instinct for joy, absurdity, and truthful expression. Ecstatic Clowning is a space to get silly, get weird, and discover new dimensions of physical creativity—all through the magic of collective play. (Must be down to clown.)
