Topics covered include an introduction to microphones and mic placement, signal paths, stands, cables, DI’s, snake, sub-snakes and etiquette for working with bands. This class is designed for both the novices and experts of all ages and will give an overview of signal flow and setting up small PAs, in addition to the basic requirements for being part of the Vera sound team at shows. Discover why the accommodating, open minded “Vera Attitude” of show production is appreciated worldwide!

This class is a prerequisite for advanced audio classes at Vera and Sound Runner shifts at Vera Project show. Each Live Sound class unlocks new audio engineering volunteer shifts at Vera and eventually paid opportunities in and outside of the venue. Become a volunteer at Vera to access other audio-related educational programs such as tours, field trips, and internships!
