While the definition of that term means something different for everyone, to me it means that my practice as an herbalist is inseparable from the Pacific Northwest through familial generational ties, my relationships with farmers, and most importantly, my personal relationship to this land through farming, foraging, stewardship, and so much more.I worked on farms here in Washington from 2013 to 2020, primarily vegetable and mushroom farms; I’ve even plowed crops with oxen like back in the old days!
