# Event Details - **Event Name**: Global Rhythms: Corey Harris and Cedric Watson: True Blues - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 06 Nov, 2026 at 07:30 pm (-08:00) - **Event Description**: Hosted by guitarist Corey Harris and featuring fiddler Cedric Watson, True Blues brings the extraordinary living culture of the blues to Town Hall Seattle. Awarded a MacArthur Fellowship grant for the study of the blues’ African roots, Harris started as a street musician in New Orleans; he has lived in Cameroon and performs around the world. Watson, a musician of prodigious talents, channels his diverse ancestry (African, French, Native American, and Spanish) to create his brand of sounds; in True Blues, his vast repertoire of Zydeco melodies, fiddle tunes, and powerhouse vocals add compelling texture to this American music. Together, the like-minded musicians explore the roots and soul of the American blues. Corey Harris is a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and band leader who has carved out his own niche in blues. A powerful singer and accomplished guitarist, he has appeared at venues throughout North America, Europe, Brazil, the Caribbean, West Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Influenced by reggae, soul, rock and West African music, some of his imaginative compositions are marked by a deliberate eclecticism; other works stay true to the traditional blues formula of compelling vocals and down-home guitar. With one foot in tradition and the other in contemporary experimentation, Harris is a truly unique voice in contemporary music. Cedric Watson is a four-time Grammy-nominated fiddler, singer, accordionist & songwriter with seemingly unlimited potential. Originally from San Felipe, TX (population 868), Cedric made his first appearance at the age of 19 at the Zydeco Jam at The Big Easy in Houston, TX. Just two years later, he moved to South Louisiana, quickly immersing himself in French music and language. Over the next several years, Cedric performed French music in 17 countries and on seven full-length albums with various groups, including the Pine Leaf Boys, Corey Ledet, Les Amis Creole with Ed Poullard and J.B. Adams, and with his own group, Bijou Creole. - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/seattle/global-rhythms-corey-harris-and-cedric-watson-true-blues/200030832112305 - **Event Categories**: music, entertainment, reggae - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 3 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Seattle - **state**: WA - **country**: United States - **location**: 1119 8th Ave, Seattle, WA, United States, Washington 98101 - **lat**: 47.60901 - **long**: -122.32994 - **full address**: 1119 8th Ave, Seattle, WA, United States, Washington 98101 ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Global Rhythms: Corey Harris and Cedric Watson: True Blues - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events9/banners/670c65735b7fd3d3f0d86954c7c97c4ed8cae8dc83f1ccd44731bc664cf3a8f6-rimg-w800-h400-dc080808-gmir?v=1791943325 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Global Rhythms: Corey Harris and Cedric Watson: True Blues being held? - **A:** Global Rhythms: Corey Harris and Cedric Watson: True Blues takes place on Fri, 06 Nov, 2026 at 07:30 pm to Fri, 06 Nov, 2026 at 07:30 pm at 1119 8th Ave, Seattle, WA, United States, Washington 98101. - **Q**: Who is organizing Global Rhythms: Corey Harris and Cedric Watson: True Blues? - **A:** Global Rhythms: Corey Harris and Cedric Watson: True Blues is organized by Town Hall Seattle. - **Q**: What has been the experience of attendees at Town Hall Seattle's events? - **A:** Town Hall Seattle has 113+ followers on AllEvents, reflecting a trusted and active community of event-goers who follow their events.
