She has been critically acclaimed by publications and fans alike for her technicality, energy, and expressive performances with Built to Spill, her heavy “post riot grrl” band Blood Lemon https://www.bloodlemonmusic.com/(est. 2018) and her conceptual solo work centered around the bass guitar.Melanie grew up in Boise, Idaho where she became an integral part of the growing music community and collaborated with multiple indie acts around town. She is currently based in Seattle, Washington where she continues collaborations and is expanding her solo work with the release of her debut record this Summer on Jealous Butcher Records, details TBA.Doors @ 7:00 pm.
