On Saturday, October 10th, we are joining Princess & Bear Wines at their tasting room for a full afternoon of browsing, sipping, and community swapping. It's the perfect way to round off Banned Book Week, which takes place this year from October 4-10. We encourage you to bring books that have been banned and/or challenged to swap with the community, as it's more important than ever to keep these books in circulation. Here's the 2026 banned book list for inspiration!Whether you are looking to buy something fresh from the book mobile, trade a beloved favorite at our swap table, or simply settle in with a glass of organic Southern French wine, this is the perfect excuse to slow down. What You'll FindOur mobile bookstore w/ curated picks to shop for new readsBook swap table inside the tasting roomOpportunities to read/craft, socialize with others, and make new bookish friendsDelicious drinks offered by our incredible host venueHow The Book Swap WorksOur book swaps are all about the cozy, casual vibes. They're designed to feel like a social event where you just happen to be surrounded by books. Here's how it works:Bring 1–3 gently pre-loved books you’ve already read or are ready to pass along. Any genre is welcome, but we strongly encourage books that have been recently banned and/or challenged! The only rule: bring books in good condition (something you’d feel good lending to a friend). When you arrive, drop your books at the swap table (look for signage!), then grab a drink, browse, and start picking your next read.To keep it fair, please take home the same number of books you brought. In the last hour, we’ll open it up to grab extras from what’s left.Note: Most books* left over after the event get distributed to little free libraries around the area.Shop the Pop-UpWhile you’re there, explore our curated collection of new and used books, “Blind Date with a Book” surprises, and bookish merch.---Lost The Plot is Seattle's only mobile bookstore that focuses on adult fiction by and about underrepresented voices. We'll be there with a carefully curated selection of new & used books, blind dates with a book, and bookish merch.*A small number of books may be kept by Lost The Plot to resell as used books, helping support future community events. - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/seattle/banned-book-swap-and-sip-bookstore-pop-up-princess-and-bear-wines/100002000885162383 - **Event Categories**: fitness - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Age Limit: 21+ - Duration: 4 hours - Location: Princess & Bear Wines - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 0, max: 0, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Seattle - **state**: WA - **country**: United States - **location**: Princess & Bear Wines - **lat**: 47.5260963 - **long**: -122.3298935 - **full address**: Princess & Bear Wines, 309 South Cloverdale Street, Seattle, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Banned Book Swap & Sip + Bookstore Pop-up @ Princess & Bear Wines - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/6637b04f0ba4af9dc5d247bf97bcf5d84a1545100e4bffb592b9a83602cc4259-rimg-w1200-h600-dc181818-gmir.jpg?v=1791003670 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Banned Book Swap & Sip + Bookstore Pop-up @ Princess & Bear Wines being held? - **A:** Banned Book Swap & Sip + Bookstore Pop-up @ Princess & Bear Wines takes place on Sat, 10 Oct, 2026 at 01:00 pm to Sat, 10 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm at Princess & Bear Wines, 309 South Cloverdale Street, Seattle, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Banned Book Swap & Sip + Bookstore Pop-up @ Princess & Bear Wines? - **A:** Banned Book Swap & Sip + Bookstore Pop-up @ Princess & Bear Wines is organized by Lost The Plot. ## Structured Data (JSON-LD) ```json [ { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "Event", "name": "Banned Book Swap & Sip + Bookstore Pop-up @ Princess & Bear Wines", "image": "https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/6637b04f0ba4af9dc5d247bf97bcf5d84a1545100e4bffb592b9a83602cc4259-rimg-w1200-h600-dc181818-gmir.jpg?v=1791003670", "startDate": "2026-10-10T13:00:00-07:00", "endDate": "2026-10-10T17:00:00-07:00", "url": "https://allevents.in/seattle/banned-book-swap-and-sip-bookstore-pop-up-princess-and-bear-wines/100002000885162383", "eventStatus": "https://schema.org/EventScheduled", "location": { "@type": "Place", "name": "Princess & Bear Wines", "address": { "@type": "PostalAddress", "streetAddress": "309 South Cloverdale Street", "postalCode": "98108", "addressLocality": "Seattle", "addressRegion": "WA", "addressCountry": "US" }, "geo": { "@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": "47.5260963", "longitude": "-122.3298935" } }, "eventAttendanceMode": "https://schema.org/OfflineEventAttendanceMode", "description": "Join Lost The Plot Books at the Princess & Bear Wines tasting room for a full afternoon of browsing, sipping, and book swapping!", "offers": [ { "@type": "AggregateOffer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "USD", "availabilityStarts": "2026-10-03", "availabilityEnds": "2026-10-10T17:00:00-07:00", "validFrom": "2026-10-03", "lowPrice": "0.00", "highPrice": "0.00", "price": "0.00", "url": "https://allevents.in/seattle/banned-book-swap-and-sip-bookstore-pop-up-princess-and-bear-wines/100002000885162383" }, { "@type": "Offer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "USD", "availabilityStarts": "2026-10-03", "availabilityEnds": "", "validFrom": "2026-10-03", "url": "https://allevents.in/seattle/banned-book-swap-and-sip-bookstore-pop-up-princess-and-bear-wines/100002000885162383", "price": 0, "name": "General Admission" } ], "organizer": [ { "@type": "Organization", "name": "Lost The Plot", "url": "https://allevents.in/org/lost-the-plot/25933652", "description": "Lost The Plot is a mobile bookstore that sells new & used adult fiction, prioritizing stories by and about underrepresented voices as well as feminist-forward fiction." } ] } ] ```
