For 45 minutes, the pulse is inscribed upon the room… upon us. A rhythm that keeps our walls shaking, one beat after another, after another, after another – then, when silence hits, we’re the ones still moving.Originally performed in the Midwest (’06) and again on the East Coast (’16), Academy Records’ DEFEAT! – The 9 Choirs is a durational percussion performance that pounds a motorik rhythm into Pioneer Square’s underground architecture as well as all those in attendance.This event is supported by sliding-scale donations—please contribute according to your financial capacity.
