Scafell Pike is home to the highest standing water in England, known as Broad Crag Tarn. It lies at about 820 m (2,700 ft), a quarter of a mile south of the summit.Scafell Pike’s original name was ‘The Pikes of Sca Fell’, and this term was used to describe Broad Crag and Ill Crag, as well as Scafell Pike itself.Scafell Pike was donated to the National Trust in 1919 by Lord Leconfield. With the appropriate gear and a go-getter mindset, you can accomplish this trek.ACCOMMODATIONIncluded in the cost of the Ticket and Twin or Double Rooms on a sharing basis at the Beach Front in the Town of Seascale. All rooms have their own bathrooms. If you are wearing new hiking boots please bring a pair of trainers as well in case of discomfort or if you know that you are prone to blisters or rubbing. Carry your waterproof top & bottom *(light that can rolled in your backpack) Comfortable walking clothing (trekking pants are best), adequate warm layers for your head, upper and lower body.  2-2.5L of water and/or coconut water Trek snacks: Energy Gels (SIS and CLIF are good ones), Energy Bars, Protein Bars, Nuts and Fruits. Please ensure you have ample snacks for the duration of the trek.
