- **Event Description**: A new film presenting the national implications of climate and nature breakdown and calling for a Government-led emergency responseAbout this EventThe climate and nature crisis threatens all aspects of British life, from national security to the food supply- but solutions exist.In November, ten of the UK’s leading experts presented a National Emergency Briefing on the latest implications of the climate and nature crisis, to an invited audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media in Westminster.The People’s Emergency Briefing is a new film due to sweep the UK - featuring footage from the national briefing, with reactions from members of the public and some more familiar faces. It presents the national implications of climate and nature breakdown - and is building an irresistible call for the Government to stage a televised briefing, launch and emergency response, and help lead global action.This showing is organised by local Seaford residents, supported by Sharing Skills, Seaford Environmental Alliance and Zero Hour. All citizens, from parents, teachers, builders, to councillors and our MP, are warmly invited to the 50 minute film, followed by a short community discussion to discuss how we, as a community want to take things forward.Tickets are by donation, for our host, the Mercread Youth Centre. Suggested donation is £3. the Mercread Youth Centre.All ages welcome - under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.Accessible toilet available at the venue.
