this is an in person community rag rug workshop that will include the use of all tools and materials.

• you are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks. no glass please.

if you’ve always wanted to weave your own rag rug, but not sure of the best way to get started, then this course is for you. you will love seeing these beautiful rag rugs, full of colours , come to life right before your eyes.

you will thoroughly enjoy playing with all the colours and patterns, as you become more creative. we want to show you how to overcome the ‘how to get started- blank page’.

let’s work together… to slow down the world’s constant flow of never ending piles of clothing. let’s make rag rugs for every room!

▪️weaving skills for you to master will be demonstrated in person

▪️a digital/pdf copy of the raveled rugs ebook - if requested

▪️plenty of workspace indoors provided/seats available

▪️adequate question & answer time

▪️all materials, tools, and loom needed will be loaned for the complete workshop experience

▪️how to choose and define an adequate color scheme

▪️ how to weave your own rag rug

▪️ weaving terminology basics/warp & weft

▪️ finishing off touches

▪️ anyone who wants to be creative through weaving

▪️ no prerequisites are needed

▪️ all that want to have fun- regardless of age

▪️ people that want to learn how to reuse and repurpose old or unwanted clothing

▪️this workshop is limited to the named registered student

▪️any comfortable floor pillow/cushion for your knees
