- **Event Description**: Northumbrian Coastal Foray & Feast - join us for a special day exploring both salt marsh & coastal areasAbout this EventNorthumbrian Coastal Foray and FeastAs spring turns to summer, we return for a very special day at this stunning location.One of the best kept secrets on the Northumbrian coast, this unspoiled stretch of pristine white sand and blue sea is renowned for its wildlife, including seals and dolphins, a wide range of gourmet seaweeds, fossils and rock pools brimming with life!We will gather in the morning, to discover the culinary delights of the salt marsh, spending a leisurely hour investigating these fascinating gourmet plants.Next, we will take a short drive up the coast to the comfort of the dunes to enjoy one of our fabulous alfresco wild feasts … this is what we are known for… local, foraged and coastal-inspired food, all with our own unique spin!Be prepared to dine on all manner of delectable wild inspired food, confections, ferments and preserves, discover the wonders of delectable seaweeds and drink wild champagne, sodas and teas! No one goes home hungry!After a leisurely lunch, we will follow the receding tide, to discover the abundance of the rock pools and a fabulous array of edible seaweeds!There will be time to study the horizon for a glimpse of whales and dolphins, potter amongst the pools in search of shells and fossils, or go for a paddle or swim.Due to the dual location of this coastal foraging experience, you will need your own transport.Limited places are available so book early for this fabulous foodie foray!
