Every Sunday, Nick crosses the river to New Jersey and has dinner with both sets of his Italian American grandparents since his parents retired and moved to Florida. Nick's grandparents inundate him with family tradition and lots of food! But Nick has dreams, and when he receives the perfect job offer from the west coast, he is determined to take it. His grandparents – Frank, Aida, Nunzio, and Emma – are just as determined that he stay put. How could he betray his family’s love to move to Seattle, for a job, they wonder? Thus, they concoct a series of shameless schemes and hilarious shenanigans to keep Nick from leaving — including introducing him to the woman of his dreams.
