- **Event Description**:  All because two people fell in love... many may not know that the humble roots of Macayo’s Mexican Food began nearly 80 years ago — with two high school sweethearts! In honor of the longtime love that launched a legacy and in celebration of Valentine’s Day, Macayo’s Mexican Food is offering a special Sweethearts Menu. This three-course special is available from Friday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 15 at all Macayo’s streetside locations around the valley. The Two for $40 Sweethearts Menu includes one appetizer, two entrees and one dessert from the following selections: Appetizers, choice of one:Spinach con Queso — Creamy cheese dip with Macayo’s famous Baja sauce, spinach and pico de gallo, served with house chips Housemade Guacamole — Fresh avocado, serranos, red onions, lime juice and cilantro, topped with queso fresco and pico de gallo, and served with house chips. Entrees, choice of two:Chicken Fajita Enchiladas — Two enchiladas rolled in corn tortillas with marinated grilled chicken and fajita vegetables topped with fire-roasted tomatillo sauce, Jack cheese, shredded lettuce and cilantro, served with black beans, sour cream and pico de gallo. Green Chile Pork Stew — Tender pork, fire-roasted poblano chile, tomatillo, onion, jalapeno and cilantro topped with shredded cabbage and pico de gallo, served with black beans and warm flour tortillas. Grilled Tacos — Two tacos, choice of grilled chicken or carne asada, on warm corn tortillas, topped with pico de gallo and served with rice and refried beans. Dessert:Deep Fried Ice Cream to Share — Crispy coated vanilla ice cream drizzled with honey and topped with whipped cream. Couples can add a pair of signature margarita mugs for $15++, which can used at Macayo’s for $4.99 margarita refills on every return visit! For more about Macayo’s Mexican Food, visit https://macayo.com.
