Participants raise pledges leading up to the event, and every dollar helps provide year-round, inclusive programming for Special Olympics Nebraska athletes in sports, health, education, and leadership.
❄️ What the Polar Plunge Is
The Polar Plunge is a statewide fundraiser where plungers raise pledges and then take an icy dip to support Special Olympics Nebraska. It’s a welcoming, spirited celebration that brings communities together in support of inclusion.
❄️ What to Expect
Plungers must raise a minimum of $50 to participate. Costumes are encouraged, and Panhandle will award:
• 🥇 Top 3 Fundraisers
• 🎭 Best Costume
The celebration continues immediately after the plunge at YMCA Camp.

9:30 AM – Check-in begins
10:30 AM – Plunge begins
Post-Plunge – Party at YMCA Camp
