NOTE: This is not the H.G. Wells “The Time Machine”, but is a new twist on his classic tale.
Original description from Playscripts: “A new, freshly imagined adventure ignites from the pages of H.G. Wells! An unexpected delivery containing a puzzling box of clues leads to the Time Machine itself. Now the race is on from today’s perplexing world into the baffling past then back again in an anxious chase against time to save the world. Experience a mystical, scientific wonder that moves through the ages, chasing a coveted treasure, dubious friendship, and lost love. Can this be real? Does time travel really exist? Buckle up for a journey into the unknown! “
Director's description:
Helene Briggs has invented a Time Machine and traveled to the far future. She has regaled her friends, including future Science Fiction author H. G. Wells with her tales of time travel. Unfortunately, she has brought back an incredible power source from the far future, and the wrong people find out about it. Confiding in her good friend, H. G. Wells, with the promise of his writing her story, she uses the time machine to disappear into her near future where she might find someone to understand the power source and use it for good. What follows is a tale of intrigue, with a few surprises along the way, until she can ultimately resolve her problem.
