- **Event Name**: Investigations! For LEO's & New Investigators- Lafayette
- **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 05 Oct, 2026 at 09:00 am – Mon, 05 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: The jump from patrol to investigations is one of the hardest transitions in law enforcement. Most officers make it without formal preparation, spending the first six months to a year figuring things out on the fly. Cases get mishandled, probable cause gets thin, and warrants don't hold up. It doesn't have to go that way.

INVESTIGATIONS! For LEOs and New Investigators is a full-day course built specifically for patrol officers transitioning into investigative roles and new investigators who want a systematic, confidence-building foundation. Using a practical 6-step investigative framework, this course covers everything from case organization and caseload management to search warrants, arrest warrants, victim and suspect interviews, and courtroom-ready case reports.

Property crimes, crimes against persons, and financial crimes are all covered with specific attention to elements, statutes, and the investigative approach that gets cases closed by arrest with successful prosecution.

Taught by a 30-year law enforcement veteran and Certified Fraud Examiner with deep experience in both patrol and complex financial investigations, this course delivers real skills from day one.

Training Force USA is proud to partner with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, which is hosting this class and supporting regional law enforcement training excellence.
