Secure your place now for an experience that will leave you glowing with euphoria.See you on the dance floor!WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?Ecstatic dance is a non religious free-form dance practice inviting people to connect to themselves and to others through music and movement. A facilitator guides you through a short warm-up to help you arrive and relax into the space and your body; it is then the music that guides you through your dance, played via a live DJ set. There are no steps to learn or follow - you are welcome to move however you wish, and to feel whatever emotions may come up. We have a few simple guidelines which we ask you to follow:1) No talking on the dancefloor - ecstatic dance is not a social gathering; it’s a chance to really drop into our bodies and let them do the talking. If you do need to use words to communicate something, please do so in a way that doesn’t distract the other dancers. There is time to enjoy talking to others before and after the dance :)2) Be your authentic self - ecstatic dance is a drug and alcohol free space in which we can enjoy the experience of being our wonderful authentic selves, reaching euphoric states, without the need for intoxicants. Moving our bodies together to amazing music is all we need! Please avoid wearing overbearing scents too.3) No phones - we want people to feel free to move and express themselves without worrying how it might look, so we don’t take any photos or videos during the dance (except a group shot at the end for anyone who wants to be in it!). Please leave your phone on silent and in your bag, and enjoy being without it for a few hours!4) Enjoy your journey - may it be medicinal! Emotions may arise and they are all welcome. Move through and dance with them, and if you need support just ask one of the Rave OM team who will be happy to help you. Be respectful of each other’s journeys too - accept them without judgement.WHERE?We are honoured to welcome you at the AMAZING Scorrier House just outside of Redruth.HOW TO GET THEREDriving: follow directions for Scorrier House (postcode TR16 5AU) and follow the drive to the front of the main house. Currently resident with the Club House and Shambolympics (Shambala and Wilderness festival), and previously resident with neuro-inclusive events company Disco Neurotico, Stef specialises in high-energy sets incorporating lots of different styles, edits and unexpected mashups, all delivered with a big grin and sometimes a red top hat.“I’m so delighted to have been invited to play at Rave Om Ecstatic Dance. Because of the type of gigs I generally do － festivals, weddings and the like － I’m often in a space where I’m focusing on keeping the energy right up with endless bangers. And that’s a lot of fun! But it doesn’t leave much room for nuance, for letting tunes breathe, for maybe bringing the energy down at certain points, or throwing in interesting curveballs. So I’m really looking forward to digging deep, bringing out some music I rarely play but that means a lot to me, and constructing a narrative that takes the dancefloor on more of a journey. Though there will still be plenty of energy!”C ANCELLATION POLICYTickets are non-refundable, sorry, but feel free to pass your ticket to friends/family in case you purchased it and can no longer attend. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events5/banners/7f666700-bcc6-11f1-8f98-6f91b752ec17-rimg-w740-h740-dc080808-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events2/banners/7f7ad960-bcc6-11f1-8f98-6f91b752ec17-rimg-w555-h740-dc180828-gmir.jpg E VENT SCHEDULE18:00-21:00Please feel free to come earlier if you want to take some time to arrive and settle, there are plenty of green areas if you wish to walk or sit down and unwind with a herabal tea before the event.18:00 Arrival time to get here and have a cuppa or a snack and take a moment to transition from the day to the event. 18:30 Opening circle- A welcome to the event and tiem for us all to gather and start the evening together.
