Saturday, February 28, 11am-2pm, virtual and in person at the Schoharie Library.
Join us in person or on Zoom for about two hours of writing - see how many words you can write on a story, memoir, essay, or poem! Then gather for refreshments and conversation.
We'll invite participants to share a few sentences from their work, or tell us what they wrote about (optional).
We'll also link a folder with the writings on our website, for any participants who wish to share their work with the public.
This is a fundraiser in support of the next service dog for former (and hopefully future) Schoharie Library Writers' Group member Jubilee Schmid, so we request that writers make a small donation or ask sponsors to donate toward their writing.

About Jubilee: Jubilee Schmid, who grew up in Schoharie County, owns a Stability & Balance service dog named Sydney. Sydney assists Jubilee in the everyday basics such as walking, going up and down various inclines, opening doors, etc. Prior to Sydney, Jubilee would need to use medical equipment like wheelchairs, crutches, and a walker to get around. Since getting Sydney, Jubilee is able to be independent, thus allowing her to work and currently pursue her Bachelor’s Degree at UAlbany.
Sydney has been Jubilee’s service dog for the past 8 years now! As she gets closer towards the hated word…”retirement,” Jubilee is currently on the waitlist for another service dog and is working on various fundraisers. The total cost for the dog will be $13,500 through Amazing Tails, LLC.
