We invite you to a creative workshop dedicated to creating an imaginative winter illustration, led by Alaskan artist and illustrator Jacob Lesan.
Participants will learn how to compose a cohesive image, integrating human and animal figures into a winter landscape. The workshop will cover techniques such as constructive drawing, stylized realism, linework and watercolor washes, as well as composition principles for creating imaginative drawings.
We will also discover some unique aspects of the Alaskan winter - its wildlife, its northern lights, its black pine forests - and how these elements can become captivating artistic subjects. The techniques and concepts learned will then be applied to create a final illustration that each participant can take home.
If you are interested in learning to draw freely from your imagination or honing your narrative illustration skills, this workshop is for you.
