It is GIVE BACK NOVEMBER! We are asking those capable and coming to the event to please bring a blanket. We are collecting them to donate for populations in need (Seniors, children, ill).
PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE. Due to Thanksgiving, we are moving up our breakfast a week early.
We all know the backbone of our Veterans and First Responders is the spouse. They are the ones holding it all together, when everything around them is in chaos. When a Veteran deploys or a First Responder's hours run over, they rest a little easier knowing the home is taken care of.
However, it has a toll on them as well. Divorce rates are high for our communities. This month, the Veteran Spouse Network's outreach specialist, Jamala Davis, will be speaking with us about the services they provide to "facilitate a community of peer support for our spouses and committed partners."
First Responders are now part of our mission! We share similar stressors and challenges and transitioning is difficult for all of us. So please bring/invite your EMS, police, firefighter, nurse, medic, dispatcher friends.
Here are a few reminders:
1. There is no charge to attend, just pay your breakfast. However, there will be a certain number of breakfasts covered. If we have a Community Partner, we'll be drawing tickets at the beginning of the event for free breakfast.
2 RSVP is not required, but highly encouraged. It just helps give us an idea for planning. You can do it here or through the website rebel-llc.com/veteran-breakfast.
