Become a certified yoga teacher through YOUnique Yoga's 200-Hour Functional Yoga Teacher Training, a comprehensive six-month program designed to help you understand not only how to teach yoga, but why movement works. 

This unique training blends traditional yoga philosophy with modern movement science, functional anatomy, biomechanics, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and intelligent class design to prepare you to teach safe, effective, and inclusive yoga classes for today's students.

Unlike many teacher trainings that focus primarily on memorizing poses, our Functional Yoga Teacher Training emphasizes movement quality, accessibility, and purposeful sequencing. You'll learn how the body moves, how to safely modify poses for different abilities, and how to create classes that improve strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, and overall well-being.

This hybrid program is designed for busy adults. Once each month, you'll join us for an immersive in-person training weekend where you'll refine your teaching skills through hands-on pose labs, functional movement training, practice teaching, adjustments, cueing, and instructor feedback.  

In addition, you will have online recorded lectures, demonstrations, reading assignments, quizzes, and self-practice activities that you can complete on your own schedule. 

Throughout the six-month program, you'll study:

-Yoga philosophy and ethics
-Breathwork and pranayama
-Meditation and mindfulness
-Nervous system regulation and stress management
-Functional movement patterns
-Intelligent sequencing and class design
-Pose alignment, modifications, and progressions
-Teaching methodology and communication skills
-Trauma-informed and inclusive teaching
-Yoga for diverse populations and abilities
-Professional development and the business of yoga

Whether your goal is to become a certified yoga instructor, deepen your personal practice, add yoga to your current wellness profession, or confidently teach in studios, schools, healthcare settings, fitness centers, or private sessions, this training will provide the knowledge, practical experience, and mentorship to help you succeed.

You'll graduate with the skills to design purposeful classes, adapt yoga for a wide variety of students, and teach with authenticity, compassion, and confidence.

Training Format:
-Six-month hybrid certification program
-Self-paced online learning with weekly coursework
-One in-person training weekend each month
-Extensive hands-on pose labs and teaching practicums
-Comprehensive training manual and resources
-Final teaching practicum and graduation
-Eligible for Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS).
