# Event Details - **Event Name**: The Brighton Beat at the Van Dyck Music Club - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 18 Sep, 2026 at 08:00 pm – Fri, 18 Sep, 2026 at 10:00 pm - **Event Description**: Our friends THE BRIGHTON BEAT return to the Van Dyck Music Club with their incredible, high energy, afro-beat - LIVE from Schenectady, NY!About this EventWe're so excited to welcome back The Brighton Beat to the Stockade! The Brighton Beat's influences range from Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, to modern cutting-edge NYC Jazz with a heavy helping of classic New Orleans brass band Funk. Performing up and down the East coast since 2010, the band has developed a style of performance that uniquely engages the audience and is fun for the whole family with wonderfully deep, wildy fun, and experimental Afrobeat that evokes the spirit of the greats.Their most recent album, Victory At Last, was released in May of 2025 - although guests at our first show with The Brighton Beat in November of 2024 got a sneak peak at a few of the singles!! After a tremendous follow-up show last fall, the fellas are back in Schenectady for a third time that is sure be a charm! See you Friday, September 18th!"“There is a perpetual sense of danceable immediacy to the big, fun Brighton Beat sound. The exact reason for that is that, at any moment—no, make that every moment—there is the potential to shake-your-money-maker around the moon and back again. Measure by measure by measure, the dance floor is going to get worn down to the studs. It is truly liberating. ”“While exotic world rhythms and a hyperactive front line have been a Brighton Beat specialty, this heady ensemble wastes no time kicking into high gear with "Feet First, Head Last," an Afrobeat explosion of horns and choral voices that seriously gets the house party started. "Into the Thick of It" catches fire quickly with its jittery skittery Talking Heads-like vibe and serves to showcase the band's deeper dive into a myriad of musical styles. And though "As Time Marches On" features said front line, it is Nat Ranson's gritty trombone that spearheads the track.” "- Mike Jurkovic of ALL ABOUT JAZZ on Victory at Last**SAVE $$ ON FEES BY PURCHASING TICKETS IN PERSON AT STELLA & SEVEN POINTS OR OVER THE PHONE AT (518)639-5173 DURING BUSINESS HOURS** https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/1cfb0170-b37a-11f1-acb2-b7b6568f5104-rimg-w594-h740-dcd82828-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/1d0b7c30-b37a-11f1-acb2-b7b6568f5104-rimg-w1168-h740-dc080808-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events3/banners/1d282bf0-b37a-11f1-acb2-b7b6568f5104-rimg-w736-h740-dcd8c8a8-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/1d3ec130-b37a-11f1-acb2-b7b6568f5104-rimg-w987-h740-dc080808-gmir.jpg - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/schenectady/the-brighton-beat-at-the-van-dyck-music-club/100001992598604064 - **Event Categories**: entertainment, music, parties, performances, live-music - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Age Limit: 18+ - Door Time: 7:00 PM - Duration: 2 hours - Location: Van Dyck Music Club - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 28.52, max: 28.52, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Schenectady - **state**: NY - **country**: United States - **location**: Van Dyck Music Club - **lat**: 42.816539 - **long**: -73.94313 - **full address**: Van Dyck Music Club, 237 Union Street, Schenectady, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: The Brighton Beat at the Van Dyck Music Club - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events2/banners/1a5fb567ebfd1100cf15b82d3a1cdc62548675cf3fac7d5f36bc8eb6f620eb4e-rimg-w1200-h600-dcfeb82b-gmir.jpg?v=1782502330 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is The Brighton Beat at the Van Dyck Music Club being held? - **A:** The Brighton Beat at the Van Dyck Music Club takes place on Fri, 18 Sep, 2026 at 08:00 pm to Fri, 18 Sep, 2026 at 10:00 pm at Van Dyck Music Club, 237 Union Street, Schenectady, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing The Brighton Beat at the Van Dyck Music Club? - **A:** The Brighton Beat at the Van Dyck Music Club is organized by Van Dyck Music Club. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
