You can learn them in a few hours. (But we warn you, it can take a lifetime to master them.) Improv is a practice that you can engage in on stage and off.Support your partner. Listen. Blurt! Weave a fresh, engaging story out of thin air. Is improv comedy? Sometimes, sure. But more importantly, it’s connection. For actors, writers, performers, and folks who have never performed. This class consists of a combination of games and scene-work, with debriefs that enhance your personal experience. Each Fundamentals class wraps up with a fun and supportive 20-25 minute Showcase performance, held just before a main Mopco show. The showcase is a fantastic way to put your new improv skills into action in front of a welcoming audience. And who’s in that audience? Mopco members are usually there, but the rest is up to you! Invite your family, your friends—even your accountant! The showcase is free, and as a bonus, you get to attend the 8 PM Mopco show for free. Plus, your guests can enjoy the 8 PM show at half price. Now that’s a deal worth celebrating!.Prerequisite: Improv 101 or equivalent (talk to us if you aren’t sure.) - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/schenectady/improv-fundamentals-part-1/100002002564492304 - **Event Categories**: workshops, art, performances, theatre, literary-art, comedy, entertainment - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 2 hours - Location: MOPCO:The Mopco Improv Theatre - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 119.22, max: 161.9, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Schenectady - **state**: NY - **country**: United States - **location**: MOPCO:The Mopco Improv Theatre - **lat**: 42.8165582 - **long**: -73.93836759999999 - **full address**: MOPCO:The Mopco Improv Theatre, 10 North Jay Street, Schenectady, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Improv Fundamentals Part 1 - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events2/banners/43b180cb4969877026adede0e755b84ce548ffc0f1f714a49f1d720eb7bcd204-rimg-w940-h788-dc383888-gmir.jpg?v=1790713925 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Improv Fundamentals Part 1 being held? - **A:** Improv Fundamentals Part 1 takes place on Sat, 24 Oct, 2026 at 02:00 pm to Sat, 24 Oct, 2026 at 04:00 pm at MOPCO:The Mopco Improv Theatre, 10 North Jay Street, Schenectady, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Improv Fundamentals Part 1? - **A:** Improv Fundamentals Part 1 is organized by The Mopco Improv Theatre. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
