The business meeting starts promptly at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM so come early and meet some of our members.

Teresa Hoffman has been with Ball Horticultural Company for 33 years, having worked in every division of the company in a myriad of positions.  Starting in clerical work as a temp, she soon started taking classes at College of DuPage in Horticulture to learn what she was doing in this new world of plants.

She learned about perennials at COD and in her management role at Darwin Perennials – a division of Ball.  She learned seed production in her management role at PanAmerican Seed – another division of Ball.  She helped with Ball purchased Star Roses and Plants acting as a computer specialist and report liaison and has provided service to some of the largest growers in the country.  She finished her degree at DePaul University concentrating on Business.  Honored by being asked to return to COD, years later, to talk on perennial plant propagation, today’s presentation was formed from that lecture. 

When not at work, she’s involved with Warrenville in Bloom, her town’s garden club, of sorts, or can be found in her yard designing and redesigning perennial beds in her 1+ acre yard.
