Woodson: Our Father, Who Art a Negro," is an interactive, talk-show conversation with the educator known as “The Father of Black History. The story is written and performed by KIT founding directors Michael Edgar Myers and Vikki J. Myers to spotlight the anniversaries of two February rituals Woodson’s research inspired and their relevance to U.S. history. The milestones are· Negro History Week that Woodson established 100 years ago; which evolved into· Black History Month, established 50 years ago by Presidential proclamation.The 55-minute show will be presented at 12 PM followed immediately by an audience Q&A with the cast.
