It was in 2022, at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels,�that the trio met. Alongside their classes, Basile, Cécile, and Robin began experimenting with new ideas. Mainly influenced by rock, as well as by the German label ECM and other more delicate music, the trio focused on their own compositions.�The group aims to take its audience through a world that is at times dark and melancholic, and at other times joyful and humorous, thanks to a repertoire and improvisations rich in sounds and emotions.

At the beginning of 2026, Halibut On The Moon will release 'The Ebb and Flow', their first album.
