# Event Details - **Event Name**: Best of Both Worlds (Steel Challenge/Pit Precision Combi-Event) - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 26 Sep, 2026 at 02:00 pm – Sun, 27 Sep, 2026 at 10:00 am (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Shooters will have the chance to shoot either or both courses of the Steel Challenge and/or Pit Precision Courses.Steel ChallengeThis is formerly our rim-fire challenge. The steel challenge is now open to rim-fire and center fire handguns as well as pistol caliber carbines. Our steel challenge consists of 5 courses of fire on 5 (4 white and 1 red) steel plates at various distances and stage layouts. The object is to shoot the 4 white plates then the red stop plate all while on the clock. You will shoot each course of fire 3 times and your best time will be used to equal your match score.You will only be allowed 10 rounds of ammunition loaded in your firearm at the start of each string of fire. Only 150 rounds or less of ammunition is all that is needed for each firearm. It is best if you have a minimum of 3 magazines for each firearm or have speed loaders for your revolvers.This is an excellent event for the entire family to spend a together at the range, or for those who have a carry pistol and want to test your skills with what you carry. (No Steel Core Ammunition or Magnum Calibers allowed)Cost: $15 (1st round-2 guns), $10 (1st round-1 gun) for age 18 and above. $10 for age 10-17. Shooters engage each target 5 times for a possible total of 50 points. Shooters are encouraged to come with friends as a group. This is NOT a Timed event.  If any shooters wish to learn electronic scoring, training will be provided. (5 minute lesson is all that is needed).​​At the end of each shoot the match director will reveal a predetermined number between 1 and 50 inclusive. If your score matches, you are eligible to receive your next Pit Precision shoot for FREE. If there is no matching score, there will be additional number added to the next shoot.COST:  $10 first firearm. Additional firearm/reshoot $5. Youth $5 age 17 and under.  If shooting more than one firearm, you may shoot both at each station before moving, so long as each firearm is scored separately.  Active police/sheriff officers with department identification pay $5/firearm.Preregistration appreciated.   Walkin registration begins at 8:15AM until 12 noon. Registrations take place in the clubhouse up to beginning of shoot. After 9AM, registrations will take place near the shooting area; by the event coordinator.  Shooting begins at 9AM.  Participants parking near the shooting pits/firing lines, do so at their own risk.IMPORTANT NOTICE: You are responsible for your own safety.
