# Event Details - **Event Name**: To C or Not to C? - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 19 Nov, 2025 at 07:30 pm – Wed, 19 Nov, 2025 at 09:00 pm - **Event Description**: It's that time of year when it feels a little early to be talking about "the C word" but what with us singing at the Christmas Light Switch On in Pickering on 22nd, and Kirkbymoorside Christmas Market on 29th, we need to just make sure our ducks are in a row... or maybe that should be turkeys... with our seasonal songs. Most of the session will be just things we've found featuring the letter C... in either songs such as Chiquitita, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Can't Buy Me Love... or in artistes names such as The Bay City Rollers, Celine Dion, and Coldplay. It’s produced a randomly lovely list, and we'll finish with a bit of twisting with a double C in Chubby Checker. Then we'll have a brief interlude before the break where we check out our Christmas songs. It usually just involves making sure we know about any fancy endings. Come and get the endorphin-boosting benefits of group singing, without the pressure. We rattle through popular songs, from the 50s to the present day. We usually meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Contact us if you have any questions, but feel free to turn up at 7.15pm! It's a case of going down the wide passageway to the left of the Methodist Church. Newcomers are very welcome. Pay only £12 for your first session including registration with the choir. (Unless you know someone in the choir in which case you can tryout as a guest with them first, for £7 though it all works out similarly in the end.) Thereafter it's £9 "pay as you go" or you can book a term which works out as the equivalent of £7 a session. Includes hot chocolate & Wagon Wheel, tea & KitKat, coffee & Club biscuit, or such like.
