Russ and I are organising a sponsored walk to raise money for Ryedale Special Families, and we’d love for you to join us for a beautiful day of walking, community, and fundraising! ?

?‍♀️ Two Walk Options – Join for the Morning, Afternoon, or Both!

? Morning Walk – 6.5 miles (Moderate)
	•	Start: 9:30am from Pickering Community Park
	•	Scenic route through Woodlands Park, over fields and woodland, looping back via the main road, through Hagg Wood, up Ruffa Lane, and back to the park.
	•	Expected finish: 11:30am – 12:00pm

? Picnic Lunch Break
Bring your own lunch and relax with us at the park before the afternoon session.

? Afternoon Walk – 8.5 miles (Challenging)
	•	Start: 12:30pm (approx.)
	•	A slightly tougher route heading up Blandsby Park, through the quarry, into Newbridge Woods, and looping back to the park.
	•	Expected finish: 4:30pm

? How to Get Involved
	•	Minimum donation: £20 per person (all proceeds go to Ryedale Special Families)
	•	You’re welcome to join just the morning walk, just the afternoon walk, or tackle both!
	•	To register your interest, contact me (Katherine Bray) or Russ Grayson directly.

If you’d like to raise additional sponsorship, you absolutely can — but for simplicity’s sake, we’ve kept it to a minimum donation. Every penny raised goes straight to this amazing cause! ?
