On this Day Retreat, we will explore the meaning of this line through the lens of an important Buddhist teaching: the Four Samgrahavastus, the “means of unification” or “bases of sympathy.” These four qualities—generosity, kindly speech, beneficial activity, and exemplification—offer practical methods for building, sustaining, and renewing a harmonious spiritual community.
