Meeting point and Departure: 2:00 pm from the south side of the Rouge Hill GO station (on the Lakeshore East Route).

Travel options: If you are planning to take GO Transit eastward from central Toronto, please travel on the train which arrives at 1:53 pm to be on time for the 2 pm start.

If traveling westward by GO Transit, please travel on the train which arrives at 1:34 pm to be on time for the 2 pm start.
Note: If using a PRESTO card, tap-off terminals are located at the tunnel exits on the north side of the tracks only and near the station building.

If arriving by car, there is ample parking near the station.

End point: Lawrence Ave. East at Beechgrove Dr., where participants can take the Lawrence West 54 bus back to the Rouge Hill GO station. Please plan for TTC fare back to the station.

Leaders: Cayla Gray and Paul Overy.

Accessibility: Substantial, with no stairs, but a few slight slopes along the way, and a very long (but not especially steep) slope from the creek to Lawrence Avenue at the end of the walk.
If travelling by GO train with a mobility device, from the accessibility coach on the GO train, there are elevators which give access to and from the tunnels under the tracks.
The path itself is paved for much of its course, with some gravel and soil portions of the trail.
There are a few stopping points and many benches along the trail, providing opportunities to rest along the way.

Washrooms: The single men’s and women’s washrooms in the GO station are accessible. Please note that there are no other toilets along the route. If travelling by GO train, you may want to use a washroom on board the train.

Additional Information: This walk will take place rain or shine, unless there is extreme weather, in which case registrants will be notified of the cancellation via Eventbrite.

Please dress for the weather and be prepared to walk along the lakeshore for much of the walk, where there is little shade. The gravel and soil portions of the trail may be muddy in the event of rain.
Bring a water bottle, a snack, a hat or umbrella, depending on the weather.
