- **Event Description**: Join the Saxtons River Recreation Area for the Annual Fishing Derby on Saturday May 2nd at the fishing pond 1 mile north of the Rec Area on Pleasant Valley Road! Registration for all children ages 4-14 begins at 8 am, with fishing beginning promptly at 8:30!

All children are responsible for any gear/bait needed to participate and MUST be accompanied by a guardian for the entirety of the derby for any assistance they may require. 

Trophies will be awarded for the First Fish, the Biggest Fish and the Most Fish Caught for each of the age groups (4-6, 7-10, 11-14)! Every child registered will be entered into a prize raffle! 

Volunteers are needed! High School Community Service hours are available! If interested message our Facebook page or email saxtonsriverra@gmail.com to sign up!
