In un’epoca in cui la musica sembra concentrarsi sul successo di massa e fare affidamento a un’ immagine commerciale calcolata e ritmi sintetici che mirano a soddisfare il minimo comune denominatore, le Highmarts si distinguono per la loro semplicità e la loro autenticità.

Fondate da tre ragazze adolescenti, con Suzu (chitarrista e cantante) come unica membro originale rimasta dalla scuola media. Hanno pubblicato il primo album Early Recordings a 16 anni e vinili come "Hey Boy" e "Koi Wa Mou" (2020).
Hanno suonato in scena con abiti rétro (vestiti bianchi con bordi neri e stivali), evocando l'era di Shinjuku anni '60-'70.
Miscelano garage punk primitivo, power-pop e melodie accattivanti con assoli di chitarra incendiari. Il loro ethos è "in-your-face" e senza pretese, superando molti act maschili con energia fuzz.
