This camp is designed to help young athletes improve their basketball fundamentals, build confidence, and develop a greater love for the game.Event Details:Basketball Skills Camp: Open to grades 3-89:00 AM – 11:00 AMCheck-in starts at 8:30 AMRegistration is FREE and limited to the first 40 participants per session. Registration closes August 18, 2026, or when capacity is reached.Who Can Participate?Children of Active Duty Service Members, Retirees, and DoW CiviliansStudents currently in 3rd through 8th gradePlease Note: High school students are not eligible to participate due to NCAA regulations.What to Expect:Camp instruction will be led entirely by student-athletes from Savannah State University's basketball programs. Participants will receive hands-on coaching focused on:Ball handlingShooting fundamentalsPassing skillsDefensive techniquesBasketball IQ and game awarenessConfidence building and teamworkFollowing skill development drills, campers will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a fun round-robin style 3-on-3 competition.Participant Recognition:Each camper will receive a printed certificate of participation.
