Description: Unlock the symbolism of historic church interiors with Dr. Herringer at the GMH. Her upcoming talk details the Victorian Gothic revival in British Anglo-Catholic churches. She has served as chair of the History department at Georgia Southern University (2019-2024) and before that as chair of the Department of History at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio (2010-2016). She is the author of Victorians and the Virgin Mary: Religion and Gender in England 1830-85 (Manchester UP, 2008) and a number of articles and essays on Victorian religion and culture, as well as the co-editor of Edward Bouverie Pusey and the Oxford Movement (Anthem, 2012).
