For our second Graveface Museum's True Crime Con, we will explore the truth behind some of the nation’s most notorious cults through firsthand accounts from those who experienced them.
This convention brings together a combination of survivors, insiders, and experts who will dispel myths, challenge misconceptions, and above all, offer rare, unparalleled insight into the lives shaped by these influential groups that have captured our fascination for decades.
Panelists include:
Eugene Smith: Former member of the Peoples Temple, Jonestown survivor, and author of Back To The World: A Life After Jonestown, Eugene Smith will share his unique experience within one of the most notorious cults in American history.
Tom O'Neill: Award winning investigative journalist and author of CHAOS: Charles Manson, The CIA, and the Secret History of the '60s. Tom will be discussing his extensive research on the Manson Family which challenge the official narrative.
Hope & Aurora: Two members of the New Age group Love Has Won featured on the HBO documentary "Love Has Won: the Cult of Mother God". Will share their personal experiences within the group.
Sawyer: Former member of Heaven's Gate will be speaking about his 18 year long experience within the cult alongside other former members and a new believer.
