The "Sturgeon Moon" is a nickname for the full moon that occurs in August particularly in the Great Lakes region. It's named after the sturgeon fish which are abundant in those waters during this time of year. Spiritually the Sturgeon Moon can symbolize resilience longevity and ancestral wisdom. It's also a time associated with introspection emotional release and preparing for the transition into autumn.
