Council Fire

Our Council Fire is a welcoming space for individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, as well as those from non-religious backgrounds. We gather around our fire pit to engage in open and respectful discussions about spiritual life from various perspectives. We will have seltzer, snacks, and s'mores fixings on hand to share with you. Other beverages are BYOB.

This month, we will discuss the following prompt. A repeated statement of both Jewish and Christian Scripture is "Love your neighbor as yourself." There are variations of this statement in other major religions. As you see it, what does it mean to love your neighbor?

Before discussing the prompt, let's take a moment to catch up on life. Our goal is to create a safe space for discussion where different perspectives are welcome and there is no pressure to conform to any particular belief. We will have a talking stick available to facilitate the discussion if those present find it helpful.
