Violinist, vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and actor, Claire Wellin, returns to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts for a special solo performance on July 22nd. (Claire appeared in Mason Street Warehouse’s 2018 production of Once, as well as on Broadway and the Once national tour.) Stylistic intersectionality incorporating folk, jazz, and classical influences informs her take on singer-songwriter vulnerability with a type of understated theatricality. Multi-talented, she also leads the ghost folk band Youth in a Roman Field. She has worked as an arranger, writer, and performer on records and short films, is also a member of the Brooklyn-based rock band San Fermin and has contributed to the bands Glad Fanny, 2/3 Goat, The Jamie Elman Trio, and Delta Rae.
