Trio Palladio debüütkontsert Londoni Wigmore Hall saalis pälvis ajalehe The Times äärmiselt kiitva arvustuse ning nende debüütalbum Pēteris Vasksi klaveritriomuusikaga valiti ajakirja Gramophone toimetajate soovitatud albumiks.

Ansambli viimaste aastate olulisemate projektide hulka kuuluvad Zygmunt Krauze ja Santa Ratniece teoste esiettekanded, Valentõn Sõlvestrovi haruldase teose „Drama“ ettekanne, residentuur Cēsise kontserdimajas ning Ludwig van Beethoveni kolmikkontserdi esitused koos Läti Riikliku Sümfooniaorkestriga. Trio Palladio kontserdikavades on sageli ühendatud klassikaline, romantiline ning nüüdismuusika, erilist tähelepanu pööratakse just Läti ja balti heliloojatele. Ansambli nime ja loomingulise idee inspiratsiooniks on arhitekt Andrea Palladio.

2026. aasta kevadel andsid pianist Reinis Zariņš ja Trio Palladio välja albumi „Arefa“ austusavaldusena Arvo Pärdile. Album sisaldab Pärdi klaverimuusikat ja kammerteoseid ning kahte spetsiaalset pühendusteost Läti heliloojatelt Georgs Pelēcis ja Andrejs Selickis.

Käesoleva kontserdiga avab Trio Palladio Arvo Pärdi Keskuse üheksanda kontserdihooaja ning tähistab ühtlasi oma kaasmaalase, helilooja Pēteris Vasksi 80. sünniaastapäeva.

Trio Palladio is an award-winning ensemble featuring violinist Eva Bindere, cellist Kristina Blaumane and pianist Reinis Zariņš — three distinguished Latvian soloists, chamber musicians and recording artists. All three are laureates of Latvia’s Grand Music Award, and in 2024 the trio received the award in the category Ensemble of the Year.

Their debut recital at Wigmore Hall was praised by The Times, while their debut album featuring music by Pēteris Vasks was selected as an Editor’s Choice by Gramophone. Recent highlights include world premieres of works by Zygmunt Krauze and Santa Ratniece, performances of Valentyn Sylvestrov’s rare Drama, a residency at Cēsis Concert Hall, and performances of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. Trio Palladio’s programmes combine Classical, Romantic and contemporary chamber music, with a special focus on Latvian and Baltic composers.

In spring 2026, pianist Reinis Zariņš and the Trio Palladio released an album Arefa as a special personal tribute to Arvo Pärt, including Pärt’s piano compositions together with a selection of his chamber works and also two special dedications by two Latvian composers, Georgs Pelēcis and Andrejs Selickis.

With this concert, Trio Palladio opens the ninth concert season of the Arvo Pärt Centre, while also celebrating the 80th anniversary year of fellow Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks.
